Sharing all of your Twitter tweets on LinkedIn is a bad idea. Keep LinkedIn for your professional networking and to share business related items.
I see people who share replies and their silly tweets on LinkedIn too often. LinkedIn is a valuable place to share relevant information, so avoid sharing everything you post on Twitter.
It is simple to choose which tweets appear on your LinkedIn profile. Here’s how to do it.
- Click your name on the top right corner. Choose SETTINGS.
- Choose PROFILE at the bottom of the screen. Then select Manage your Twitter settings
- The second option is a tick box that reads: Share only tweets that contain #in (#li also works) in your LinkedIn status. Select this box.
Once selected, you can add #li or #ln to any tweet, and it will automatically appear on your LinkedIn profile.

UPDATE: This no longer works due to Twitter’s relationship with LinkedIn. The good news is that you can still do this. Here’s how.
Your personal information is never shared.
